St. Anastasia Roman Catholic Church is located in Troy, Michigan and has been a great promoter of Irish dance within its parish community. It strongly believes in serving all people and supporting life-enriching activities - and Ealaín Céime is proud to serve their parish community by promoting the art of Irish dance through workshops and performances at the church.
The Gaelic League of Detroit strives to be the center of Metro Detroit for promoting and preserving Irish culture and tradition. It has a long history of serving the Detroit Irish community by providing a venue for a variety of Irish social and Irish cultural activities, including Irish music lessons and Irish Gaelic language classes. Ealain Ceime Irish Dance School is excited to be partnered with the Gaelic League of Detroit to pursue both of our common goals. Ealain Ceime contributes towards these goals by promoting traditional Irish dance to anyone who has an interest in it, regardless of their ethnic background, physical location, age, or skill level.
The Wellington Pub, located in Sterling Heights and Troy, has been a favorite neighborhood pub for over 25 years, serving great tasting food, drinks, and live entertainment every night of the week. Ealain Ceime Irish Dance School partnered with the Wellington Pub as performance venue to benefit our dancers in gaining performance experience.
Eisenhower Dance Ensemble is located in Rochester, MI and provides the high quality, comprehensive dance instruction, with classes taught by established professional dancers. . Ealaín Céime holds its Adult Irish Dance classes here, allowing adults to learn all about Irish dance while getting a great workout in a friendly social enviornment.
Juliart Dance Studio is located in Troy, MI and has been in business for over 20 years. It offers classes in tap, ballet, pointe, jazz, hip-hop, and lyrical year-round. Ealaín Céime uses its 2700 square foot facility to hold Irish dance classes.
Link School of the Arts is located in Troy and holds classes for drama, music, and dance. Its mission is to inspire, encourage, and impact lives by communicating God's truth through the performing arts. Ealain Ceime Irish Dance School uses the Link School of the Arts facilities to hold Irish dance classes.
Positive Attitude Dance Academy is a dance school in Farmington Hills, MI that teaches ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip-hop dance forms. Positive Attitude is also home to the Miss Farmington Founder's Festival pageant where girls aged 15 - 18 can compete for the title and win savings bongs, a studio scholarship and "reign" over various city wide activities for the entire year. Ealain Ceime Irish Dance School uses the Positive Attitude facilities to hold Irish dance classes.
Troy Dance Studio is a social, ballroom, and competitive dance studio located in Troy, MI. With 3000 square feet of floor space, full-length mirrors, disco lighting, and DJ booth, it is the perfect place to hold a party - like a Ceili! Ealaín Céime uses the facility to hold beginner Irish dance classes and Ceili classes.
Cumann Rince Dea Mheasa (CRDM), meaning the Goodwill Dance Organization, is an organization based in Ireland & the United Kingdom that organizes workshops, competitions and examinations to aid the promotion of an interest and the development of a standard in Irish Dancing. It is affiliated with WIDA and supports 'open platform' feiseanna (which means that competitors are not excluded from feiseanna because of membership in another dance organization nor are its own members barred from entering feiseanna from other organizations). Ealaín Céime Irish Dance School supports the open platform feiseanna concept completely.
Scoil Rince Mikulski Irish Dance School is located in Nottingham, England and is an official sister school of Ealaín Céime Irish Dance School. Founded in 2005 by Miss Kimberly, it has quickly grown to be a shining star in quality Irish dance tuition in Nottingham. The aim of the school is to encourage its dancers to work as a close-knit team whilst having fun. Instructors approach the students holistically, paying as much attention to a dancer's enjoyment as their standard of dancing.
Tir Na N'Og is a Celtic cultural group in Lapeer County, Michigan, diversified in the music and arts of Ireland. They are non-competitive, family-oriented, and focused on fun and enjoyment. They have performed with the the bands Inis Ceol, Celtic Cross, and Wakes and Weddings, and even had the chance to dance and practice with the Trinity and Lord of the Dance troupes.
World Irish Dance Association (WIDA) is an international organization that promotes and develops a standard for Irish Dancing. Based in mainland Europe, W.I.D.A. organizes workshops, competitions and examinations to aid in the promotion and development of this standard. Ealaín Céime Irish Dance School is one of the many Irish dance schools around the world that is registered with WIDA. WIDA and Ealaín Céime both stand for the tradition, culture, and appreciation of Irish dance the way the people of Ireland originally intended it to be.
Brian Bonner is a celebrated Irish accordion player and singer in Southeast Michigan. Brian has been playing traditional Irish music for over 40 years. He helped establish the Buffalo Feis, then brought his talents to Detroit. At one time or another, Mr. Bonner has played with nearly every Irish musician in the Detroit region, and many more outside of Detroit. Mr. Bonner's CDs available for purchase at his website and are excellent for any Irish dancer to practice and perform to.
Celtic Cross is local Irish band that has been playing together for over 17 years. The group is comprised of five members: Rene Meldrum, Ray McCracken, Mike Kowalski, Susanne Wickstrom, and John O'Gara. They play the music of the Emerald Isle in the traditional Celtic way using a variety of Irish instruments, including: the Irish Harp, the Bodhran, and the Tinwhistle.
Finvarra's Wren is a powerful five piece, Detroit, Michigan based Irish band plays invigorating Irish, Scottish and Celtic-American folk music. Traditional and contemporary songs are punctuated with wonderfully inventive arrangements of jigs, reels and hornpipes, hotly fueled by Alison Perkins on fiddle and whistles, Terence McKinney on the uilleann pipes and whistles and Asher Perkins on buttoned accordion and concertina.
Jim Perkins is a versatile singer, musician, poet, composer and storyteller, performing American, Irish, Scottish, folk, traditional and original music. With a wonderful and emotional vocal style that is perfect for the often ornate songs that he loves, Jim is also an extraordinary performer on guitar, tin whistle, harmonica and mountain dulcimer. A family man, Jim is often seen at gigs with Cheryl, his wife, who is a singer, dulcimer and bodhran player in the Wren Band, son, Asher (buttoned accordion and concertina) and daughter Alison, (whistle and fiddle) who also perform with the band Finvarra's Wren.

O'Brien's Irish Cottage is Southeast Michigan's premier Irish store, providing Irish gifts, Irish clothing, and Irish jewelry to its customers. In addition, O'Brien's Irish Cottage stocks all of Ealaín Céime's official T-shirts and Irish dance music CDs. The original and current owners, Monica and Patrick O'Brien, have a strong Irish heritage and are very active in the Irish-American community. They can often connect Ealaín Céime dancers to exciting performing opportunties that others cannot.
